Through College Connection, Brian’s legacy continues.
Along with Duke University, the BKB Foundation sponsored the College Connection for students from Shaw and Hart Middle Schools in Washington, DC.
Beginning in 2004, the College Connection is an initiative offering opportunities for middle school students whose parents did not attend college to visit and experience a college campus. Visitors shadow student athletes as they attend classes, walk around the campus, dine in the cafeteria and study in the library. Middle school students also meet with an admissions representative, tour the campus, and attend athletic events.
In Feburary, students from Shaw and Hart middle schools participated in College Connection, visiting Duke University. Read more here.
